Requirements
· Employee Training: Provide comprehensive training to staff on delivering proper personal care activities, including bathing, skin care, back rubs, hair care, nail care, dressing and undressing, feeding, oral hygiene, shaving, grooming, and bedtime preparation.
· Bathroom Assistance Training: Educate employees on assisting clients with bathroom needs, including the use of urinals or bedpans, while ensuring that incontinent clients remain clean and dry.
· Medication Management: Maintain and regularly update the client’s medication list to ensure accurate administration and adherence to prescribed regimens.
· Assessment Verification: During client assessments, verify that employees are effectively managing laundry and performing light housekeeping tasks.
· Nutritional Documentation: Ensure that employees accurately document meals provided to clients and update any changes in nutritional needs during assessments.
· Mobility and Exercise Support: Train employees to assist clients with exercises, ambulation, and transfer activities, emphasizing the importance of proper body mechanics.
· Care Plan Development: Collaborate with Silver Linings Care to assist in the creation and implementation of individualized Client Care Plans.
· Safety Rounds: Conduct safety rounds during client assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards, documenting any issues observed.
· Hazard Documentation: Document any safety hazards, such as frayed electrical cords, unsecured handrails, and malfunctioning smoke detectors or carbon monoxide alarms.
· Incident Assessments: Complete assessments on clients within 24 hours of any incident to ensure timely and appropriate responses.
· Progress Documentation: Maintain accurate records of client progress and the services performed, reporting any changes since the last assessment.
· Hygiene Practices: Uphold proper handwashing techniques to ensure the health and safety of clients.
· Social Interaction: Engage in respectful social interactions with clients, fostering friendly conversation and providing empathetic support.
· Positive Attitude: Exhibit a positive attitude and behavior, consistently demonstrating respect for our clients.
